I think Alex will ask his father why he never had visited him before in London and why he had not write any letter to him.
But maybe he will know all about his dad.
He said that he didn't believe that Tom didn't even send him a Christmas card or a birthday card and he had hoped every year that Tom wrote somethink but there came absolutly nothing.

To be honest, reading your post was a pleasure especially because it's so short. haha
Unfortunaly suffer the task because of that: We should also add some quotes as exsamples and you have forget writing down that Alex also trys to understand his dad because the only reason traveling to Australia was that he don't want to take over his mum doubts and to build his own mind. Another advise: You could add a picture, that makes shape of your text more pleasant.
